The first frequency is the downlink and should be USB. The second
frequency is the uplink and should be LSB.

I listen daily to AO-73 to gather the telemetry data.
I use a 12 elements cross yagi and can switch between left CP or right CP.
At low elevations (between 0 and 10 degrees) I also suffer from deep
fadings where the signal is in the noise and then slowly coming back.

The next pass I heard Wyatt calling me and we made a nice contact.

I just had a 17 degree pass of arrissat-1 here. On 145.950 FM I heard
sstv and international greetings.
When the sat was transmitting on 145.950 the transponder was active and
I could here myself but the signal was weak.
When I couldn't hear myself anymore I noticed the transmisions on

Hello,
Just worked AO-51 without 67Hz tone. I noticed that the carrier drops
out sometimes. I guess you activate the carrier again with subtone but
i'm not sure.

When HO-68 was at AOS this evening here in Europe I decoded a telemetry
line at 19u18 utc before making contacts on the transponder.

My only com port is connected with my FT-847 for doppler correction via

1. First and foremost is to listen before and while (if possible)
transmitting, to ensure your transmissions don't drown out a weaker
station who may be on the edge of a pass or running QRP. Satellites
should be an alligator free
