Thank you AO-51 for your service. May your cells one day short so that you
may come back to life. Until then, RIP.
Also, thank you to the AO-51 team for all your extraordinary work from
start to end. AO-51 is the bird that got me into satellites.

Sorry Mika, things have been really hectic for me with moving and school
since I got back. I fully intend to get this issue resolved after I am
done with finals on Friday.
Again, sorry for the delay.

I am trying to program some satellite frequencies into my TM-D710.
Has anyone had any luck with programming a cross band split into the
memory? I was able to do this with my VX-7R and assumed that all radios
would support this.
If not possible, how do the D710 users in the group operate
I'm trying to write my own pass prediction program for tracking FM

I'm tying to setup BV7 QSL for satellite contacts. Is there a way to
import the satellite name and the RX band or does someone have another
program that they recommend?

All,
I am planning on leaving Thule Greenland on either Wednesday or Thursday
of this week. I do not know how many more opportunities I will have to
be on the air before I leave Greenland. We are not flying today so I
will try to make the most of my down time and get on the air. I will

I am thinking I want to get into S and L band operations. Does anyone

I will be on HO-68 tonight at 0040 UTC and 0231 UTC from GP47,
Kangerlussuaq Greenland. Is there anyone at Dayton that will be able to

Has anyone figured out a good way to use an FT-897 for linear
transponders without an additional receiver? I would really like to get
on some of the other birds from Sondrestrom (GP47) and Thule (FQ56)
before I leave Greenland.
Thanks,

My operation from Søndre Strøm (aka Sondrestrom, aka Kangerlussuaq)
GP47pa will start sometime around Wednesday, May 5th. I will be
traveling to Søndre Strøm tomorrow and will hopefully not fly the next
day. I plan on being there a little less than two weeks. After that I
will be returning
I just wanted to give everyone an update on an upcoming QTH change.
Although I am scheduled to be in Thule until April 23rd, there is a
chance I could leave as early as April 21st. I will be going to Wallops
Island, VA to put our radar equipment on a P-3 aircraft and do flight
tests.
I will
Any news on if LoTW will support HO-68? I've emailed the ARRL but
haven't heard anything back.

I just want to let everyone that is following my planned operation to
FQ56, Thule Greenland, that I've created a Google group to send out
announcements. Since I will not have a set operating schedule while I'm
up there, I will send out an email right before I go on the with my
operation plans

Everyone, thank you for your help on my HT transporting question I
posted earlier! I think I have found a method to get my equipment to
where I'm going. I'll try to get on the air Wed and Thursday nights

Has anyone had luck with transporting an HT on a commercial flight in
their carry on luggage recently? I doubt I'd have much luck with
transporting an arrow antenna in my carry on. Any thoughts?
