I tried this in many testcases and it seems to work correctly... I
think it can be brought to 0.96 now!
I also tried to slightly improve Sander's button (added translation,
added [trans ok] and [trans failed] and added a [trans connecting] as
soon as you press the button)...

This implies reading the config BEFORE hte splash gets loaded .. if you
read the config you c an read the main windows' coords etc too.
