Hi Guys,
I am running Analog 5.32 with Report Magic on a Standard 2003 IISv6 Server.
Everything is working great, but when a new site is created and Analog
processes the site for the first time, a few default values are added to the
report. I don't know if the defaults are generated by Analog
Delete LOGFILE logfile.log from your analog.cfg.
logfile.log is a file included with Analog that can be
used for test purposes.

I need to preprocess my log files to change these type of entries:
/products
/products/
/products/index.html
into one type of entry /products/index.html
I cannot get the server to combine these and my other analysis software is interpreting these as separate hits.
If anyone can help start me

Hi, Last week I wrote that, when running Analog to read the logfiles on
my server, it reported that Analog couldn't run because C:\Program
Files\analog 5.32\analog.exe not found or not executable.
Yet this is where the exe file is.
Can anyone explain what is wrong here?

Are you running the form interface? If so, did you make sure that Analog
is configured and working from the command-line first? Also, make sure
that the file is executable by the user that your web server is running
under, usually IUSR_MACHINENAME on IIS systems

I recently found that analog does not process logs that have entries
from a Windows DAV attack. Here is the output of running analog on such
a log with debugging turned on:
# ./analog +CHOSTURL http://test.com; +CLOGFILE
/var/tmp/analog-5.32/access_log +COUTFILE

Should work in Access pretty easily as well.

Can you give us an example? The only time that the whole line is looked
at is during LOGFORMAT matching, but I don't think you can use a regular

A friend of mine recently upgraded her web server and asked me to
reinstall analog on the new box. I decided to try 5.91Beta version, as
it produces nicer output. It copied over all the old .cfg files, and set
everything up to use anlgform, which is how she has been analyzing her
logs for a couple
Absolutely true. In fact, I didn't see the one distributed with Debian
Analog, it is sligthly different, and seems to accept postfix. I'll probe
it and report notices.

On all my domains the report.dat file contains the following
line:
x FR 1999 12 31 10 11
What can I do to show the correct First Request Date, as
opposed to 12/31/1999?
