Hey. I have a BroadcastReceiver, which works well, however, I want to
show a full UI when it is hit. At the moment, I can create a Toast,
which appears, but I can't seem to make a UI appear (I'd rather not
make one programmatically). So, unable to set a content, I tried to
use Intent to change to
Thanks... I didn't get it for so long until I finally learned that my
default values on my preferences view didn't make the stored
preference persist so the way I had read the preferences actually
meant that on first run of app, an endless loopn was created...
Now I have a different problem...
My simple app - with no fancy stuff - just one preferences screen and
simple while loop logic keeps crashing on my droid though it works
fine in the emulator ... I've tried everything I could find online for
possible answers, I think... is there something very basic I'm
missing?
I get a blank
simple clicks and long-presses.

I am hoping Cyanogen will once again prove how great a system he has
(by using the SD-card for the system) and how great Android is by
being so customizable.

Where can I find the icon used for the Application Drawer on the home
screen? I would like to have a sliding drawer widget that uses this
icon but I'm not sure if its even available via android:drawable or at
all.

Hi all,
Curious if this functionality is present on the Android platform. I'm
looking to package my apps into a single APK file, which when
installed would spawn multiple application icons on the device. All
applications would be related and would talk to each other (this part
isn't a problem

tell andbook is a very old preview copy!
But get this book! I think it is giving a very good overview on how to
program programs for Android.

I have the G1 on T-mobile UK.
I setup the alternative email client with my Gmail account to see how
it worked. It wasn't as good as the native Google Mail app so I
deleted my account.
But now my Google Mail program has stopped working properly. It won't
download new messages or send either. And
that you have to pay a 2 year suscription, is that
right?
No problem.
You can buy unlocked HTC G1, for example, on ebay.com. ($400-$600)
Well I don't really (know who to) trust (anyone) on ebay.com! I would
have a professional contact! :-)
