Hello everyone, I downloaded Android Studio from the official developer.android.com website. I am new to android programming but would like to learn here. I am using Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4. The download came as a .dmg file (android-studio-ide-145.3276617-mac.dmg) in my downloads folder.

i used to have the same problem. my advice is to root the phone, and use link2sd with a microsd card which you divide in two partitions one is for normal use, and the second partition is used with ext4 for linking the apps. ( the files get moved to the second partition and only a link remains in
