I know that a -1 value from a call to GsmCellLocaion.getCid means that the network is unknown. But, I'm frequently getting that as a result even though the phone is connected to the network and able to send/ receive calls.
Can anyone shed some light on why this happens and how to get around it? From what I can tell, GsmCellLocation.getCid() is the only API call to get the tower id that the phone is connected to. Thanks in advance.
