Let's say someone has an issue with your paid app and you aren't able to

developer's offer to refund).
Knowing that address, the customer can get on a plane, fly halfway around
the world, knock on your door and take my wife
It's been speculated that this is a requirement of European customer

Isn't displaying developers' addresses so blatantly a violation of
developer privacy ?
This may be legal but it seems pretty intrusive, like a rectal probe feels
pretty intrusive.
I thought Google's motto was: "don't be evil". I'm not sure this policy of

I'm afraid you won't be able to do it for yourself, since the address is
linked to the whole account, not to a particular app.
Unless you convince Google to remove them from free apps' listings.

I like the idea. Actually, its pretty standard for gateways etc, to require
a physical address when commerace is involved (e or otherwise)

I'm not an attorney but it looks to me that the section (4.3.2.4) of the EU

Ok, the day arrived. The Physical address field is live in the developer
console.
Below the field you'll find this:
*Please provide a current, valid postal address where you may be contacted.
If you offer apps or in-app items for sale, you are required to provide a
postal address under our
It looks like the wording conflates two addresses into one --

web site, even to users who've not installed your apps... just anyone, I
presume.

Ha, I've seen those awesome news too. Answering what I guess:

alongside ratings and email to ask for support
2. Google will examine support inquires after users complaining of an

But wait, there is more.
New developer policy -- from September 25 -- has this (new):
For paid Products or in-app transactions, you must respond to customer
support inquiries within three (3) business days, and within 24 hours to
any support or Product concerns stated to be urgent by Google.
There's an article on CNET today about the demands that the EU has made on
Google. I've downloaded the PDF of the formal demands and will scrutinize
it. I'm not sure if the news of these a couple weeks back is why some
developer's think the physical address has something to do with the EU. In
Thanks @Kostya.
@Noby, it doesn't make sense that they ask for entering a physical address
to developers that have already entered it in Google Wallet, I think they
are talking about a new field in the developer consoler, as DevDallas says
in the last post of this thread. If they were to use

Yes, Google's communication could be better here. I guess they just don't

We are less than a week from the deadline and still it isn't possible to
find the dreaded Physical address field in the already painful Developer

As far as I know, the physical address has to be specified in your Google
Wallet Merchant https://wallet.google.com/merchant/ account, that you use
for receiving payments from Google Play.

I added all information on both tabs, with the same address, since I'm

The public profile is probably the one you want to be careful with,
