AudioManager to not actually take effect in the behavior of the app.

MapView.setSatellite(true)
and as alternative
MapView.setStreetView(true)

Your problem might be caused of being unable to resolve superclass, look at
following logcat entries:
10-06 13:34:50.316: WARN/dalvikvm(723): Unable to resolve superclass
