Almost any phone can be used for app development. Thats one of the awesome
bit about Android. (I say 'almost' because I heard rumours of one that had a
market-apps-only lock.)

If you mean platform development, the nexus one is great if you don't want
any warranty. Any and all hardware failures are your fault as soon as you
unlock it, regardless of whether you load any new software on it.

Part of being allowed to ship with market is allowing app development
through adb and the dev tools.

[android-developers] ADP3? When?

2010-03-24 Thread cloudguy
I'm waiting to buy an android phone until I can get a developer phone
that has as much power as a Motorolo Droid or a Nexus One. Spending
any money on a two year old clunker isn't my idea of good financial
sense.

Any idea when we will get an up-to-date dev phone?
