I think the point is that measuring things in percentage increases is of little
value when most people are interested in absolute values.
Saying an increase of 1000% doesn't tell anyone whether you're getting 10
downloads per day or 1000, and if you're getting 10 things are far less
Fair enough, but I try to avoid publishing real numbers as in my experience
people can get upset when you start giving absolute numbers.

Tell me about it!! And it had to be some app, 'cause all of this used
to work just fine.
Ah, that must be the advantage of living in an area with a GTUG. Not an
option for me, unfortunately. And I never considered meetup.com, because
once again, it's not relevant to me the vast majority of the time. I'll keep
it in mind for future events, though.
Thanks for the responses.

My point is that one would need the actual numbers to make an informed

There are a LOT more ad companies than just AdMob. I don't know what CPC
rates are averaging these days, but eCPMs of $3 and more are advertised
by several. Just the set supported by AdWhirl should give you a huge
variety of eCPMs, and which one is the best changes over time, or so I hear.

They gave out something like 120 of them in total, and there were a lot more
people there than that. I signed up at the LG booth at IO. The people who
got the phones were the first 120 people in the door who had proper
registrations. The rest got free drinks. Frankly, I got plain lucky.

isn't currently public so it's unknown if it's an optional or mandatory feature.
