I am a bit worried about my HTC Magic Vodafone (UK). I believe its a
cut down version of the Magic and might not be able to run 2.0.
Any ideas guys?

If the question is more like is HTC DREAM hardware sufficient for
Android 2.0, the answer is *yes*.

For future versions I'm guessing that can only be answered when
they're released.
As for 2.0, that's already been answered in terms of compatibility,
it's down to HTC Google whether or not it happens, and neither tend
to comment on releases for specific devices on this list.

For the foreseeable future, unless you keep flashing back and forth
between 1.6 and 2.x, you'll need at least two devices anyhow. One that
supports the vast but slowly shrinking pool of 1.x devices and one
that runs 2.x.
