AOLSearch
now ties directly into Google now.

Not sure where this term came from. Brew is the internal code name for
the NPE 6.x server.

Try this:
- when you open mailbox specify /debug option, it will output all client
IMAP
communication into log file, so we can spot the place in c-client it
dies.
Example ns_imap open -mailbox {{localhost/debug}INBOX}

sprintf (pwd,%.65s %.33s,user,hmac_md5 (challenge,clen, pwd,strlen
(pwd)));
I never used CRAM-MD5 authentication, i only tested with PLAIN,
can you work with PLAIN only authentication.
Also it looks like auth_md5.c code is not
