[ARIE-L] Exchange GAL Global Address List

2011-09-23 Thread Stephen A. Patton
Can Ariel access a Microsoft Exchange Global Address Book dynamically? Loading static CSV files is not very useful to me since our student population is constantly changing. Currently we send everything through Outlook. Is there a more automated way of handling this? Thanks, Stephen Patton

It appear, thanks to Jennifer's excellent guidance below, that we were able to get Gmail to work. We have tested the patron delivery mechanism sucessfully. Would anyone who sends documents via Ariel email be willing to send a test to ar...@lincolnchristian.edu? Thank you! Leslie Starasta On

Hello, We've been having a series of problems with our re-installation of Ariel on a computer running Windows 7. Infotrieve has not been able to help us with some of the more major ones, but one recurring problem has rendered our system virtually unusable: the inability to convert PDFs to TIFFs.

Here at MUU, we have had to resort to using a MyMorph in order to convert files that Ariel and Odyssey will accept. Tammy Green Interlibrary Loan 103 Ellis Library University of Missouri Columbia MO 65201 Phone 573-882-3224 Fax 573-884-4857 From: arie-l-boun...@mailman2.u.washington.edu

Try Microsoft Office Document Image Writer. It's a free download, and both Ariel and Odyssey accept the TIFFs.It works through the print menu. A Only drawback is that color PDFs are converted into BW TIFFs, but they retain pretty good quality. Diane Lee Interlibrary Loan Oberlin
