Now you know why OIL & ONGC want to lease out the oilfields to foreign investors who will have to 'xo'lor logot xingiw lobo lagibo'.
Thus the Indian bureaucracy will create another layer whom they will be able to blame for loss of production.

Or is it a rendition of "Aapunar naak kaati xotinir jaatra bhongo kora karjyo"?

I agree that they should raise the salary/benefits for the employees but is this the only way to get that?

Guwahati: Three abandoned wells of Oil India Limited (OIL) were set ablaze, allegedly by agitating employees on contract, in the Digboi reserve forest of Tinsukia district of Assam on Tuesday.

The company sources said though none of the three wells had any strategic value, the Oil India authorities were shocked by the severity of the sabotage.

The agitated employees who set the wells ablaze were demanding better pay package and perks.

They had clashed with the security forces on Monday after an altercation with the company's management.

All the wells immediately caught fire causing damage to some of the OIL properties inside the jungle.

No one arrests have been made so far but the CISF have increased their presence throughout the OIL installation as they apprehend further sabotage by the contract laboureres.
