Hello Andy:
The simple answer is yes. Think of stored procedures as small mini/micro sql
applications. From Asterisk you can execute a shell script, perl script and
even if necessary a java app... so technically there is really nothing
stopping you from calling sql stored procedures from
Not even sure what a 503 is, but look at your /etc/rc.d/init.d. Check
the order. What services - internal/external are beyond your control and

Duane,
I think those are great projects (and I use e164.org) but you are
still limited to only calling the numbers of people who have listed

I was aware of the negative issues around such a network but was happy

Just wondering if anyone uses or has comments on Asterisk Business

client because of the documentation and support for their technical staff. I
know this will probably cut me out of the loop somewhat but I was
Trixbox 1.2 is pretty buggy, I'd suggest waiting until the next major
release. There's also a couple of bugs with freepbx and asterisk

I double what Shidan suggested. You have to manually install zaptel and get rid of some bugs. However, it is possible to fix all the bugs. I am guessing that there will be a patch by the end of the month. Also, there are not many more new features. Actually, none that would be very usefull. They

I am still working on these issues, no fix so far.
I originally bought it for its low price, if I could find a comparable card
at the same price point I would switch. I am using it in a small SOHO
setting with 1 main line and a backup. if I can not fix it I may have to go

You can set your Zap outbound to start at the highest line and work down
while your Telco likely has your Zap inbound set from lowest to highest.
That should mitigate the problem substantially.

Thanks John, I didn't think to try that.
You might want to check that your incoming equivalent group are connected on
to the card in the correct sequence and that (as John says the out-going
