Computers are like air conditioners.
They stop working when you open Windows.

To answer this myself: Nokia's AT command set does not include voice commands,
so this is not possible with Nokia; at least not with the card phone. I'm
checking more around now with Sony Ericsson and

I'm (sort of) working on it. chan_mgcp is not ready for the 7960, yet. I've
collected a number of small patches to chan_mgcp in order to have it working
an overly aggressive firewall. Should be fixed now.

We have FCC certification numbers on file. We have not obtained Euro
approval on our cards. What's your need for fcc numbers, just curious?

By certification I would assume they mean UL or NFPA (sp) fire prevention certifications. FCC
doesn't certify anything with regards to fire, just compliance with signal and radiated noise standards.

wait--- to connect these cards to us phone lines i believe you also need fcc
cert, is that true??
Yes, in principle you need Part 68 for the phone lines. Part 68 also
verifies high-pot, as does UL (i.e. it shouldn't catch on fire, even after
a lightening strike).

I looks like the gatekeeper registration is causing the seg. Let me
venture a guess... your running Debian?
Find me on IRC and we can work thru this problem.

I tried it last night. Loaded fine, but the phone had no soft keys and

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I have dedicated server space available
if you want to mirror CVS or your website.
Let me know if I can help.

Hi,
I would like to use * as a compression box.
Between 2 sites I have an E1 leased line.
So would it be possible to use 1 port of an E400P card to route my IP
IAX calls over in order to cut the ip router out of the picture?

Sure. You configure it as HDLC or CISCO HDLC and you have
hdlc0 interface to send data.

I don't think it's currently supported, but Mark had talked about

So how would a more complex definition like:
exten=1234,1,Dial,Zap/1|30|Tt
Either as
exten = 1234,1,Dial(Zap/1|30|Tt)
or
exten = 1234,1,Dial(Zap/1,30,Tt)
Asterisk automatically converts your , to a | if it's in the (). This
change was made to make it easier to read dialplans as though
In our area Adelphia just contacted us and told us that any account
under $500/month was going to get dicontinued. Due to this, and the fact
that they are agressively pricing their T1 service, we are thinking
about changing carriers for our voice T1. Adelphia is offering us a PRI
for $650/month.

Configure the span 1 as
nethdlc=1-31
You have to have HDLC enabled in your kernel.
Then compile zaptel/sethdlc (in zaptel make sethdlc)
and then
ztcfg -vv
sethdlc hdlc0 mode hdlc (or mode cisco)
ifconfig hdlc ip_address network network_address
that's it!
Now you have IP over HDLC/CISCO HDLC.
I've found the same.
If I make an outgoing call (snom 200 handset), I get about 5 seconds
of audio and then it drops out (very occasionally it does work).
Incoming calls appear to work, though.

Music Telecom is now Ai-logix http://www.ai-logix.com/. The PT series

AFAIK, their cards are compatible with Dialogic, so you might be able to

Luke,
Try putting the prefix of before your phone number. It changes the

OK this is what I have done so far.
I compiled and install all packages. No errors (wow!)
