I was having the exact same problem with the 9639 driver. I created a link from nvidia_drv.so to nvidia-1.0-9639 and that did the trick for me. The atrpms packages may not have worked if you had any other nvidia packages other than nvidia-graphices7185* and the nvidia helper and devices

This means that it can't install the kernel modules for kernel 2.6.22.1-41 because it is no longer available. Kernel 2.6.22.4-65 is what you want now. Update your kernel with yum update and then manually install each kmdl with yum install PACKAGE-kmdl-2.6.22.4-65 where of course PACKAGE is

I finally upgraded my FC4 mythtv box to F7 in order to use schedules direct. I ended up doing a clean install since the upgrade failed. Everything is now back up to par except for nvidia drivers. First of all, when I installed the nvidia drivers (7185), it pulled the i586 kmdl instead of i686. I
