to get my USB TV tuner to load. I installed
video4linux-kmdl-2.6.22.2-42.fc6-20070731-81.fc6 from atrpms for this.

should the 1.0.2 ivtv package require the ivtv-kmdl? i can see that the
ivtv-kmdl package should require ivtv. i am using the fedora 2.6.22 kernel,
so i'd prefer to use the built-in kernel module if possible.

Better yet, this should be fixed. Whatever the cause (some repo
misconfiguration, repo versions conflicting), it's a bug that has to be
filed against yum. Do they have a bug reporting site?
