Hello,
I was wondering if there is any chance of adding TRAMP support to
AUCTeX. AFAIK, this is currently not supported.
It might be relatively straightforward to implement for simple usecases
(compile a single-file remote document in a remote host)?
Thanks and best wishes.

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a reason that AucTeX (apparently) doesn't
support TRAMP by default? I have a laptop without a Texlive
installation, so I'd build my documents on a server. This doesn't work
by default, but after applying this patch that uses `process-file' and

Hi Seb,
Has a mechanism to do this (processing files in the remote host, using
TRAMP) been implemented in AUCTeX?
No, I don't think AUCTeX has been implemented with processing of remote
tex files in mind. Maybe that's not a good idea anyway, because AUCTeX

The development version has this feature.

Dear all,
Editing tex file on a remote server using tramp works fine and has
been my favorite solution to keep files in a place.
However, Running latex will always fail with error like:
,
| ! LaTeX Error: File `sample.tex' not found.
|
| Type X to quit or RETURN to proceed,
`
I think
