As is generally acepted, a breach of Controlled Airspace is a serious issue and

Hi All,
We celebrate 70 continuous years of gliding at Waikerie on Saturday, 19th May
2007. This surely is a great (among the best) milestone in Australian Gliding.
We will see some members return - some who learnt to fly in the Primary
glider, and other's who learnt more latterly to fly in the
Martin Simmons has had a good look at Dyneema rope used in Europe / UK.
In a presentation recently at Waikerie, Martin talked about the rope and its
performance.
One aspect he highlighted is that (on a relatively flat surface, and I
appreciate some Clubs dont have these), when the slack is

I am seeking info on the manometer scale above 160 Kts for ASI Calibration,
up to say 250 Kts.
Basic Sailplane Engineering provides the info up to 160 Kts.
Ive been unable to locate any info - and the scale to 160 Kts does not
appear consistent, let alone to 250 Kts.

Re Kingfishers
My Father, Bill Hudson, built an ES57 Kingfisher. He purchased a kit from
Harry Schneider (who was at Parafield in those days) and returned it to
Whyalla to build it.
The build conditions were lousy compared to some you see today, built in a
shed which housed a brick making

The Balaklava Club also had a Kingfisher, VH-GRE.

As both a glider pilot and a power pilot, (in
respect of the new procedures) itseems to me that some glider pilots are
getting concerned about nothing.
Most of the new procedures are RECOMMENDATIONS,
