Just to relate my current experience with this program.
In 2011, I purchased SeeYou for PC to facilitate flight analysis. As I
understood at the time, and from the documents related to the purchase, this
was a once-only cost. Since then, there have been a number of automatic
upgrades.

Subscription models for software seem to be an almost necessary evil.
Evil, because nobody wants to carry on paying for something every
year.
And necessary because the number of glider pilots is limited and the
only way that a software developer can stay in business and develop
Hi John,

Naviter are a commercial organisation, they put a product out there and
the market decides if they want to buy it. It is not compulsory.
There is at least one alternative called Strepla, and there used to be a

A lot of brilliant software has begun life as a project of passion, geeks and
or open source groups. No real commercial cost to produce.
However, once people, no matter how few or many, start to use and like that
software, the demands to improve, modify and add to it, begin.
Now the

G'day John,I use SeeYou on every flight, such an awesome program for flight analysis. I generally only look at, then compare with the top 10 placers for the day (see attached *.pdf for quickness/ease)..*Start Time (just through soaring spot)- did the winner, or general pack with 900 points start
Thanks Adam ... excellent information. Would make a great article for GA.
G. Dale makes the point in his coaching lectures that you can only really
work on one or two things at the one time in seeking to improve, and you
have to work on the thing which is likely to provide the best return in
I'm not a Comp Pilot, but as O O who uses it regularly I like it,
and that the key; the more one uses a product the better one is
at using it.
Why do I like it? Because I know the product because I have been
using it for a while and know how to find the flight details I am looking
for.
