Hello, We have seen the same message on a box with vanilla 2.4.18 kernel with rmap12h patch. Mount version is 2.11b and autofs4-4.0.0pre10-10 (SuSe package). If it matters, we are using only nisplus to get our maps. I know the above setup is kinda old. We are still having some other issues

Hello, Default behavior of autofs is not to mount unless you need it. Mkdir is probably doing some kind of stat as part of it's normal routine. Executing 'cd /misc/beast' would also trigger a mount. If you want to see all your automount-points, there are options like browsing (I am not sure

[autofs] autofs-5.0.3 segfaulting when HUP'ed

2008-10-29 Thread Ryan Go
Hello all, We've been running into an issue where autofs would segfault when it gets a HUP signal. Here's the version details: SuSE 11.0 (both suse kernels 2.6.25.5-1.1 2.6.25.16-0.1) autofs-5.0.3 (patched up to yesterday's patches except for the kernel patch) using only LDAP for maps I've
