We are pleased to announce the release of Apache XMLSchema 1.4 of
Apache WS-Commons.This release includes numerous bug fixes and a major
behavioral change of the API. Element and Type retrieval via QNames has
been modified to traverse the full schema tree and hence be cautious
when upgrading from

let me know of any issues.
I have tested this with Axis2 and woden (source in trunks) and found no issues.

I am neither an Ant fan nor a maven fan but I believe in picking the
right tool for the job :)
In terms of ease of maintenance and improved functionality i would say
maven is a better tool for the job than Ant.
I don't think dumping maven completely would be seen as a possible

Perhaps you can try with options in the java2wsdl tool (Axis 1.4
version) to generate a doc/lit WSDL and try with it. I guess the
defaults for Axis 1.4 java2wsdl is rpc/encoded ? (not sure though)

After all the talk about the war I found that both the available war
distributions listed in the nightly build page, fail to deploy in
Tomcat 5.0.x in Ubuntu 6 ! (it works ok in a Windows Tomcat 5.5
installation though). Has anyone else encountered this problem ?

In my mind Axis2 integration tests belong in Axis2 and not anywhere

Hi Dims,
As soon as the unwrapped flag is used
only in case of caching the stubs, if I create new stub
for every client then I don't have any problems but performance.
Has somebody encountered the same problem ?
