Tim Tony Hammond of Nature Publishing Group wrote a good article on augmenting RSS with domain-specific namespaced elements a while back at http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2003/07/23/rssone.html. It shows an example of embedded Dublin Core and PRISM elements and might provide some inspiration (there is
