Helo, The first problem is to use this kind of auto mounting for your disk. It is for simple user not to use in an system administrator point of view. To move /var/lib/backuppc to a new disk permanently you must at least. Stop backuppc add a permanetly entry in the /etc/fstab file to mount

Ah, very good. Looked at install folder and blat indeed is there. Found in bin/ , a file called notify.bat that would notify a help desk email address gets used by that. It's unconfigured for mailing but exec stuff isn't commented out. Will do so for security reasons. Thanks for the heads up.

Have cygwin-rsyncd-3.0.9.0 installed on my Windows hosts and I read about and downloaded the cygwin-rsyncd-3.1.2 from GMail YO. I was planning on testing it on a couple of my Win 10 laptops and as per habit I ran the newer version through VirusTotal online. It came up with quite a few hits
