I got the new CVS source distribution and built barry on a newly
installed Ubuntu 8.04 system.
No issues with the compile (thanks for the tips Chris Frey).
My Blackberry is a Verizon 8703e. It has the unlimited internet option
and I have been using it

Chris,
I used the replacedefaultroute pppd option, and it still isn't setting

Can someone give me the status of barry on the 8830? What works and
what doesn't. I have the option
to upgrade but my 8703e is working great with barry and I would hate to

CHris and team,
Just replaced my old 8703e with an 8830. It will not tether anymore.
I changed the password in the barry-verizon script otherwise I'm using
the same setup as the older BB. I'm currently using version 0.13
2008/07/16. What are your recommendations?
Thanks

Andy,
The 8830 starting working after I used your chat script. Was a total
shock :O
Thanks for your help. I need to couple this with Ubuntu's network
manager and
need to set some ppp option so it will override the default gw when my
wifi link is active.

Very nice.
The 8330 is charging fine, but I am having issues with tethering. I used
the barry-verizon ppp files (peer and chat script) and it worked the first
time
I've attached the barry.log with -v turned up.
Thanks
