about joining the meeting.

I have set it up so that you need to register each week, so keep that link 
handy.

The Bay Area Science Fiction Association is a local weekly science fiction 
social club that meets every Monday evening at 8 p.m. 

The usual meeting order, after approval of previous minutes and officer 
reports, consists of announcements from members of things they think other 
members might want to hear, followed by members' reviews of books, movies, 
events, and other things of potential interest. The evening usually ends with 
the adoption of the club's "Rumor of the Week." Meetings tend to last 30 to 60 
minutes, depending on how enthusiastic the members are about discussing things.

Participants are asked to keep muted until called upon to speak. To put 
yourself into the queue for announcements or reviews, participants need to use 
the "raise hand" function. If you wish to follow on/comment on another member's 
announcement/review, please use the green yes checkmark (please familiarize

Per our code of conduct (as listed in the club rules: 
https://basfa.org/rules.shtml) BASFA firmly believes in playing nice and 
recognizes the right of members and non-member attendees to participate in a 
safe, harassment-free environment. All attendees have the right to not join in 
activities that cause them any form of discomfort and to speak out if they feel 
harassed or unsafe. Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive 
comments, repeated or unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate touching, 
deliberate intimidation, stalking, photographing or recording others without 
first obtaining permission, retaliating against others who have complained of 
harassment, or encouraging others to retaliate.

Rude, harassing, offensive and/or obscene behavior or content will not be 
tolerated. Offending users will be ejected and reported to Zoom. Meeting 
controls, including the ability to unmute yourself, may be put into place to 
help make the meeting run smoothly.
