I’ve made the changes to the Zoom registration process, that I brought up at
the start of tonight’s meeting.

First of all, the registration link doesn’t appear to have changed:
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcld-6rpjgvGtIgLOOMifWVLgfj9p19Xtim

If I’ve set it correctly, you should now be able to register once and attend
any meeting.

The other change is (I hope) that the registration will no longer allow users
to register and sign in immediately. When you register, you will have to wait
for the email. Again, you should only need to register once, so you can
register now and get your credentials for the meetings. There are "add to
calendar” links in the email, so you can add the meetings to your calendar –
which will also store the Zoom credentials, so (for many calendar applications)
you can just click your calendar entry to sign in.

We’ll try this for a couple weeks, and, if we get comfortable with it, I’ll
start promoting the meetings on Meetup again.

These changes are all in aid of keeping Zoom-bombers, who often used random
email addresses to register with, from disrupting our meetings, while making
the meetings open to the public again.
