Went to the 3 Below Theatres Open House on Friday. Newly redecorated. Theatre 1
is no longer Comedy Sportz – it is now a reading room. Filled with books.
Theatre 2 additional move memorabilia. Fun seeing everything. Concentrating on
little films. 3belowtheaters.com <http://3belowtheaters.com/> /

Yochanan
Ghostbusters Afterlife. 11/21 is Harold Ramis’ birthday. Liked it a lot. Love
letter to Harold. Setup and build up was about 3/4 of the film. Centers on the
kids. Full steam for the last 1/4. Fans of the original will enjoy. Fun movie.
Full price. Less of a comedy, and more of a family story dealing with life
after death.

The Wheel of Time (Prime) didn’t know the source material. Amazon dropped the
first three episodes in one batch. First episode was too much exposition. The
second was better. The third was really good. The rest will be released weekly
on Fridays. Fantasy story set in a matriarchal society, not a time-travel
series…

Sunday visited National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas.
(nationalatomictestingmuseum.org <http://nationalatomictestingmuseum.org/>)
Comprehensive, huge, modern. The only congressionally mandated museum in
Nevada. Thought of Chris Garcia when he walked in. Wall-to-wall-to-wall-to-wall
info beautifully presented, and well lit (no flashes need for photography).
Reasonably priced, and worth multiple visits. Flamingo Road near the UNLV
campus, and convenient to the airport. Photos:

-Craig: Was impressed when he went to it. Recommends.

Gayle
Star Trek: Miri. Children on planet where the adults have died. Enterprise
needs to figure out some vaccine. Gripping. Banned on the BBC after its first
airing in 1970. The ban was lifted in the ‘90s.

Gerald
Candy, Valerie, and he attended the Lynbrook HS holiday faire and sold some
books. He used the pop-up tent he uses for a telescope shelter, an old table
with folding legs and the rest of the Silicon Valley Author's stuff to create a
passable vender booth on bare ground! We even sold a few books, too!

Rumor of the Week:
Even after all these years, "bustin" STILL makes me feel good.
