I cannot reproduce this (with the latest GNU Emacs from trunk or
pretest 24.3.90).  Which version of BBDB are you using?  And which
computer system do you use?

I am still getting the same error with Emacs from trunk (as of less than
half an hour ago). I even did a fresh clone of bbdb3 from Savannah just
in case.

 And which computer system do you use?

x86_64-suse-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.22

FWIW, I have no problems generating the loaddef file for org-mode.
