Hi, Karen For the chair nibbling I would suggest Citronella oil if you can get your hands on it. I've had to spray citronella on all my furniture legs (and walls...) regularly or Doppo will just chomp away. he hates the smell and will not chew anything citronelly. Good luck with the getting hazel
