Okay procrastinators - now is the time for you to 'swing into action' and mail your checks to the BARC LOC Challenge Fundraiser. I will announce the amount raised by this fundraiser when all of the checks are received. I will tell you that BARC is ahead of LOC by about $200. SO....you LOC supporters who have not made a donation, it's time to send in your money so we can at least get even with BARC. Both of these groups are excellent organizations and both of them are doing vital work for our Berners. Let's raise some money for them by making a donation to the portion of the fundraiser that you support!

I thought that you might like to hear some news about the upcoming fundraisers.

Terri Zimmerman is going to do a special fundraiser right after we are done with this one. It should launch on Sunday. Be on the lookout for this exciting raffle.

Willem Wijnberg, artist from the Netherlands, has done two more lovely Berner paintings. He has asked me to do a mini-fundraiser, in memory of my Winston, to raise money to fight Malignant Histiocytosis. How could I say anything other than, "Yes!" So at the end of February I'll be launching that fundraiser.

The 4th Annual Berner-Garde Fundraiser will start in late March and will run until after the Specialty, until about early May. By the way, on the BMDCA list, people have been discussing the Zuchtbuch, a breeder yearbook from the German SSV-Club. It just so happens that Dr. Terrill Eckert, from Germany, has donated TWO ZUCHTBUCHS from 2001 to our Berner-Garde Raffle, along with some other nice items. I have a lot of wonderful items, as usual, for this exciting fundraiser.

BUT, this is NOW and we need your donations NOW for the BARC LOC Challenge Fundraiser.

I'm still waiting for your checks. Make my day......send your check to me NOW. Please send an e-mail telling me how much you are sending and how you'd like me to distribute your tickets. In case your check doesn't arrive in time for the drawing, I can still put your tickets into the envelopes so you don't miss out on the fun.
