all of my dogs have been blood donors, including the 45# mixed breed. the small brown dog only gave 1/2 - 2/3 units, but apparently he had 'lucky' blood & has saved a lot of dogs over the years. all three of the berners donated. dickens, at one time, was donating about every 3-4 weeks. we usually had the heaviest demand in spring & fall. the rottie hasn't been called on yet. but, since i don't work at the clinic anymore, they keep forgetting that she's grown up now.
