When creating a plot in J7, I get a Pango-WARNING telling me that it could
not load a helvetica font and I should expect ugly output.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get this (rotated) font loaded?
Also, the plot command does not return control to the session until the plot
window is

install GTK. From where can I get GTK for PowerPC Mac, pls?
I can find the key file that is being sought --
libgtk-x11-2.0.dylib, but do not know how to copy it
from Gimp to the desired locations in
Apparently you also got the gtk binary under the folder
/Applications/Gimp.app/Contents/Resources/lib/
If Gimp work, it is possible the gtk binary there is useful.

That's what I was hoping, but I have no idea what parts need to be
moved where. There is a *lot* of stuff buried in these next
directories.

The J gtk addons expected a different folder structure. The folder layout
you quoted is a more standard that is the same as that in Linux and
windows. A more complicated issue is that there may 2 backend for gtk
binary. one for x11 and another for quartz, with different filename as
