on tab defs -- crash
Menu: Edit - Configure - Pacman -- crash directly on menu
Crash means jgtk is disappearing without any feedback.

I cannot reproduce your errors in wine.
may be you can try run jconsole first, and then run gtkide by
load 'gtkide'
to see if there will be any error messages.

Running jconsole does not help much but if I execute for example line
load 'plot'
in Term window the ide works (haven't got time for extensive testing right now).
