My .01 cents is that on netbooks, the horizontal layout is actually preferable since I can get most of the panels on screen, then full screen to make use of my 3D view. Also I think we should make some effort to allow users of previous versions of Blender to migrate a bit more easily. Other

QT is wonderful but it can't do what Blender can with the inputs and I for one would miss that. I also love blender because it is the fastest loading and starting software that I have and the most responsive. I bet we would loose all that with QT. PyQT has a restrictive licence but QT is good. On
