I have an abstract with the title field:
{Metallicities of 0.3{\lt}z{\lt}1.0 Galaxies in the GOODS-North Field}
When I do a TeX preview, it bombs due to the embedded TeX.
If I change it to:
{Metallicities of 0.3z1.0 Galaxies in the GOODS-North Field}
it doesn't bomb, but the preview shows as:
