This afternoon, around 4pm, I found 8 Great Gray Owls along March
Valley Rd as well as 5 Wild turkeys under the Ottawa Duck Club feeders
near Riddell Rd at the end of March Valley Rd. I also saw 4
WildTurkeys running across a field on Cookstown Rd just west of the
Nepean Campgrounds.

Although February is traditionally a slow birding month, at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park the arrival of migrating waterfowl in large numbers
helps to alleviate any boredom from repeatedly finding the same few land
birds day after day.

Hi Everyone
The birding today was very good around the Ottawa area. Along the Ottawa
River at Remic Rapids two male Barrow's Goldeneyes were observed feeding in
the rapids. Also in the area was a male Greater Scaup and an adult
Ring-billed Gull both spring migrants.
