We had 31 registered Participants who braved the cool weather and
icy streams to find the following birds.
Total Species 66. That includes the 5 PEAHENS.Total
individual birds-- 8868. Two

This morning at 9.am. there was a single PIPING PLOVER on the
Beach of the NATURE RESERVE South of P9 in the PINERY PROVINCIAL PARK. It
was with two SPOTTED SANDPIPERS.
Yesterday there was a big flock of WHIMBREL in the same
NATURE RESERVE.

On Saturday a light movement of swans became a tide
in the late evening and overnight in North Lambton County.
We had been able to find about 2,000 Swans in the general area on
Thursday and Friday, but overnight and all day today they have been pouring

Hello Chatters.
The Highs-- A SAPSUCKER, well seen not too far
from where one was found a week ago. A second good bird was a female E.
TOWHEE at a feeder at Hungry Hollow Arkona.
Finally the Friends Of Pinery Provincial Park provided a Warm
sitting room
Today there are two PEREGRINES on the reef off Kettle Point.
One has a sandy crown and is a young bird. the other is the
whitest-breasted peregrine that I have ever seen.
The breast is completely white and unspotted. There are a few spots
on the belly between the thighs. The back
This morning there was a PINE SISKIN calling in Pete Chapman's yard. This
afternoon there were four feeding with Goldfinches on his feeders.
Hungry Hollow is in the Ausable river Valley east of
ARKONA in Middlesex County. About 20 minutes north of highway 402.

Thursday morning, while looking for juv. FORSTERS and Juv. COMMON TERNS
fishing off KETTLE POINT there were three Juvenile plumaged LITTLE GULLS
fishing also. They still had remnants of the blackish mantle, not seen in
the Fall.

At 8am. this morning there were three SNOWY EGRETS on KETTLE
POINT, all in full breeding dress. They stayed all morning but were gone
after the thunderstorm that rolled over us at

. Take the 402 to the Forest turnoff and proceed down 21
to Forest. Keep straight on at the traffic lights and turn left at the end
and drive towards the Lake. Horned Larks can be found at intervals along
the roads in that vicinity.
