Hi Birders, The day started out with a good NNW wind, but it later died out. We had one interesting spectacle of a group of Great Egrets coming in off Lake Huron. We saw some white specks a few kilometres out over the lake just below the horizon. They turned out to be a tight flock of 32 Great Egrets, an uncommon sight at that location. The flock headed straight in, then went directly down the St. Clair River. Others birds included about 30 Common Loons both flying over and feeding in the lake. Many flocks of Bonaparte's went over, but nothing was with them. Some Dunlin were seen, as well as the usual diving ducks. At one point an adult Peregrine Falcon passed over being harrassed by a Herring Gull.
