GENERAL FORECAST: Tree seed crops in northern Ontario this year vary from
poor to excellent, depending on species and location, making predictions
more difficult than in past years. Seed crops are better east of Lake
Superior to the Quebec border than west of Superior to the Manitoba border.

Today, just before noon, Doug McRae and I saw a White-eyed Vireo near the
junction of Lakeshore and Paxton Dr. (near the Lighthouse) at Presqu'ile.
The Tufted Titmouse also made a brief appearance in this same area.
A Hudsonian Godwit was still on the beach, and, earlier in the
Interested Parties,
LPBO has already been recording a fair number of Pine Siskins and Purple
Finches this fall, particularly in the past week. White-winged Crossbills were
heard flying over Old Cut on the 10th and heard and seen on the 11th. Yesterday
