Had Bam Bam up to 102 temp, and at 5 lbs (5 weeks old) he could do
13oz a day. Diarrhea was gone, He was making pellets no problem.

now:

1] no appetite for 3 days now. temp and energy going down.
force-feeding yields maybe 5oz a day.

2] constantly burping and chewing--but what? He's eaten no alfalfa or
clay or oats. Mouth smells like puke. Smells like the rotten milk we
got UP the tube when we tried to tube him weeks ago. We think he's
having reflux from milk stuck int here that will no move. We do not
plan to tube him, since his rumen appears full. Stomach is more
bloated than normal. I am thinking he's severely impacted. I gave him
some molasses-based nutri drench last night, for the vitamins and
because molasses can be laxative. He also gets a B-shot and sub-Q
before bed. We also feed him water via a drench syringe.

3] yesterday and today have given him multiple 40cc+ enemas each
morning (10cc oil the rest water), and yesterday got very firm,
caramel-looking feces in morning, then no movements for 24 hours. This
morning, a few small pellets encased in white stringy wet mucous that
does not smell bad, but we got no huge load.

4] plus, two days ago, began sneezing up white mucous from nose that
does not smell like puke, so I am thinking it's really mucous and not
rotten milk coming out his nose. Yesterday I put him on .05ml Durvet
Pen-Aqueous per day.

my wife is massaging his tummy this morning, and he is burping and
chewing more than ever.

we know if he can't pass this problem and also not continue to make
more problems like this, we'll have to put him down. At 5 weeks, and 5
lbs, he;'s like a longer, skinnier version of a newborn.
