Along with Black Belly Sheep we also raise American Guinea Hogs. Out of
the blue a fellow wrote me and wanted to buy 1/2 a hog. As we would be
butchering in the near future I told him that we could fix him up. He
wanted to know price and asked some foolish questions. Well bells
started to tinkle so I told him to check with some local butcher and ask
what they were getting for hanging weight hog. He kept working and
working to get me to say what the price would be, even when I got a bit
abrupt with him. By this time the bells were really ringing, so I told
him the hog that I had was sold for breeding purposes. Was it a sting
operation, don't know but it was unlike any conversation that I have had
in the past. We don't regularly sell butcher meat off the farm so I
remain confused. You know that you are not paranoid if they are
really after you. ;-)

on-farm slaughter is not legal in Kansas. We ended up using the deliver to
