Hi All:
Has anybody on the list heard of 'Cobra' screen reader.
I would like to know their experiences in using this screen reader.
I also would like to know who / which website developed this screen reader.
I would also like to know from where we can download the tutorial on
using this screen
It is a new screen reader developed in Germany. Here is the web site:

Hi everyone. Is there any way I could possibly read a scanned PDF
document? It's an image, so it isn't showing up when I save it to text or
pull it into Google docs and try plain html. I'm thinking there's not much
I can do but I'd like to know from those who are more tech savvy than me.
So would this screen reader help me read scanned documents? I'd be willing
to download and try it if it would help with my curent problem, but I'm not
sure of the limitiations of OCR. Thanks.

You could use Microsoft Office to scan and read the page.
Go into your start menu, then into the Microsoft Office sub-menu, then into
tools, and you'll find two pieces of software there you can use.
The first is Microsoft Office Document Scanning. You can use this to print

Hi,
To read scanned PDFs, you can try a little niffty program called PDF2OCR. It
will help you open mostly books that are scanned into PDF format (Google
books come into mind).
This is a free program developed by a blind programmer, found at

Hi Scorpio,
You have answered your own question really. There is no classic Windows
like there was in Vista or earlier. You are stuck with the Windows 7

Classic. This will remove the desktop from the alt+tab list, as well

Hi,
I'm confused about the topic but In windows xp, if you want to add or remove
a component, there is an option in the add/remove thing in the control
panel. If you chose that option, you have to insert your windows xp disc.
I can't speak for newer versions of windows.

I think you mean to simply plug in the second computer to an outlet in the

to proceed from that point.
Any further information would be appreciated.
The ether thing is the ether net cable. It is what goes from your modem
and or router to your pc or laptop.

Have just purchased a new computer with Windows 7, and jaws 11 which has one
terabyte hard drive. I understand it would be a more efficient operating
machine if it were partitioned. I used to partition the old DOS computers,
but I do not have any idea of how to do it on the new machines.
Thank you for that information. I have purchased a wireless router for use

There are several reasons for partitioning a hard drive,
here are the 2 that come to mind immediately:
1. Installing multiple operating systems.
2. Keeping personal data separate from the operating system, in the event
the o/s crashes and needs to be re-installed.
This is also handy for keeping
