please make sure that all of the files that you need ie documents and
the like are backed up from the windows.old folder which can be found
in your c: drive.
now as for you not being able to delete the windows .old folder, you
can use this script to take ownership of the files

I have my folders in a list view and some how they are upside down they were

I've got the deal where by I can network either read only or read / write
directories on windows 7 with XP. It crossed my mind yesterday to try and
figure out if it is possible to only share selected directories with certain
systems. For example only share a specific directory with my lap top
honestly remember too many details,
but, think it was making use of TCPIP4 or thereabouts, and it did work, but
anyway.

Update your Eset signature files, though I assume
you had done that , but doesn't hurt to mention
it, then do a scan. I'd also download a
free/trial copy of Malware Bytes and update its

You have answered your own question really. There is no classic Windows
like there was in Vista or earlier. You are stuck with the Windows 7
look and feel. The only thing you can do is change the theme to Windows
Classic. This will remove the desktop from the alt+tab list, as well
