Had you tried closing WinAmp and restarting? Same goes for Jaws? Jaws has a nasty habit when running for long times, on my system anyway, of mucking up application key strokes. I've had it disable some hot keys, and otherwise not red properly if I hadn't shut it down and restarted it. I
