Hmmm I have not looked at ptsdos, but if you want to email me off list we could look and see. The biggest issue is speech, unless this thing can be something we could interface nvda with and run it via some emulation environment we will have issues. No one has serial ports anymore and usb synths

True, however I am unsure how updated freedos is. At any rate, unless you have a serial synth, or a computer supporting it, and you will need both, freedos, drdos, prehistoric dos 6.22, or dos7.1 will not be available to you. Neither will vms of dos. Dosbox is free or use linux is probably most

There's also the opensource dos project called freedos, and you can find it at: https://www.freedos.org/ I also believe that paragon still sells their PTS DOS system.  I bought my copy years ago, so I don't know if it's still up for sale on their site, but is still listed in my downloads
