O. K. Ray, this looks like the site I have been looking for. Will
have it checked out with a little sighted assistance this
weekend. The description of the spring loaded return on the platform
has been missing from others I have checked out. And the price is
right on the 8 ton model.
So, if I decide to salt the ground beneath my deck so that nothing will
ever grow there again, will the salt be a problem for the cement footers?
The footers will come all the way up to ground level and a bit above.
Just a thought.

Dan,
The salt will dissolve with rain or if you decide to clean your deck with a
hose and it will dissolve into the ground and become useless. or it will not
dissolve into the ground and migrate out from under your deck with again the
help of water and kill your grass or plantings along the
John, good points about the salt dissolving or migrating.
I intend on putting down a few layers of garden mesh and gravel on top of
that. I am not sure I like the idea of black plastic, but not completely
against it.
Thanks.

Since we are talking about wholesale murder here, how do I get rid of roof

Larry .Thanks for all your input. I think I will just shore up the floor

Hi
Wouldn't a picnic table make your backyard, patio or deck a more useful and
fun space? Here's how to build one that is relatively inexpensive and long

Hi
I live out in the country and we have to read our own electric meter.
Is there such a gaget that can be hooked up to a electric meter that will
talk so I can read the meter myself?
My wife can easy enough read the meter so that is not a problem but I would
like to be able to take care of that
Jewel,
Home made ice cream which Max described was a real tradition here in the

It was almost certain to be made on the Fourth of July and Labor day.

Hi
Reading Water Meters
In order to keep a close check on how much water you are using, you may want
to take regular readings of your water meter.
The first step is to locate your meter which is generally enclosed in a
concrete or plastic box located near the street, inside the curb in front
Sounds just real good - but for who?
Seems to me that if I had to pay 21 cents per kilowatt hour during the 1 to
7 P.M. that would just about double my electric bill which is already a
killer.
I can see the advantages of trying to encourage folks to switch their non
essential use to off peak hours

That is all very interesting, however what I really was wanting to know is
not how to interpret the information on the meter but is there a way for a
blind person to read the meter such as a speech output that could be
attached in some way.

Yes, Jewel. I have participated in that ritual many times. First as a kid,
