We have thought about burning barrels, too. They make some
incinerators too, for the purpose and I think they are around
$80. The trouble with those 55 gallon drums is that they rust out,
and I think one would have to punch quite a few holes to get good air flow.
earlier, Robert J. Moore,
Where can I get one of those incinerators that you are talking about and
what should I be looking for when buying one?

Unless you plan on emptying it quite often, you might want to reconsider
putting anything in the bottom. If you don't mind emptying it though, you
could put three or four fire brick in the bottom and then lay a wire rack out
of a refrigerator or freezer across the bricks.

Gaads where do you folks live they havn't allowed trash burning
around these parts for more years than I can imagine.
Unless you don't have a good recycling program, what would you
want to burn that wouldn't be toxic?

My neighbour has had a fire every evening for about two months now. Seems to
burn everything from his old deck to garden debris. Stinks bad too.
We used to burn paper and cardboard mostly but that was forty years ago and
more. On the island we didn't have and they still don't have recycling.

Do you think you could get your pyro maniac nabor to write up his riecipy

The best burning barrel I ever had was the drum out of a Westinghouse dryer.
The bottom had holes for air passage, and it was coated with a finish that
seemed to tolerate heat, so that it didn't rust out for a long time. I just
put it up on three or four bricks and it lasted for years.

No problem with the ordinance. Just make sure that when you are burning you
have a pack of buns and a package of hotdogs with you
